Like living on fries
So I cashed out nearly two buy-ins last night, in spite of myself. I had A4JK, single-suited, in an O8 hand last night. Flop was J23, so I had outs for the low and a wheel.
I basically called $2 bets in a pretty large pot until the river, when I made my gutshot Broadway.
I don't like living like that. Most times, in these games, I can shore up some bad cards with good analysis on hands I do get to play.
This session we had some new people, Taylor and Joe from my old apartment building and Matt, another reporter that we know. Matt built a huge stack but gave a little back to Doug in this 2-7 TD hand in which Doug had an 8-high and Matt had a 9-high.
I had 2569x and would have had to draw two cards (more than likely) for $6 to continue. So I folded.
Another hand, I re-raised Hal with A24x in Badugi and caught a ten-high badugi on my second draw. It was enough.
I'm glad that we're able to get plenty of people and lots of new faces for these games.
