Is CardPlayer of value to me?
My CardPlayer subscription is up and it's finally cheaper than it's been in recent years ($49.95 for two years).
That said, I'm not sure I'm going to renew it. It's interesting to read, maybe more of a guilty pleasure than helping my game. I usually can get it at poker rooms, and with trips six months of this year (so far), that means I could have had it for at least half the year for free.
Plus the unprofessionalism that Scurvy recounted in this post is a negative for me.
What has been worth it so far have been the CardRunners videos, worth every penny of the $25 or so a month fee.

I would say drop them. Get another periodical to fill the void. May I suggest either the print edition of meatpaper.com (I got a subscription for my birthday) or perhaps something a little more risque? I always figured you for the kind of discerning customer who would really enjoy Big Black Booty.

Yeah, I like CardPlayer, but once my subscription is up I might switch to Bluff.
