The rain and raining money
Twice today people asked me about Las Vegas when I was out doing errands -- I was wearing my MGM Grand shirt (0-2) and, because I have so many similar shirts, I never really think about it until someone mentions it.
First instance today was at Publix, the grocery bagger-man mentioned he likes watching Poker After Dark.
"I've learned a lot about poker watching that show," he said.
"Um, me too," I say.
"Do you win money there? If so, I want to go," the cashier chimes in.
The second time today was when I was getting a pair of glasses (finally) -- the optician talked about his parents' trips there "The first time they went, my mother won $400 in a slot machine. But she lost all her money" in other trips.

It finally rained here. It was strange, after living several years in the Pacific Northwest where it rains all the time, to be so appreciative to be covered by falling water. Not sure it'll make too much of an impact with the drought, but who knows?

'Stars says it can take about 15 days to get a withdrawal check. I got mine in four days. W00t!
