Sugar Bowl- A market correction

Last night, after having a pitcher of PBR and burgers with Sham, I checked out the lines on Bodog. The freefall in the Hawaii-Georgia game had finally ended, from -11 to a low of -8 1/2.

Before me on the screen it was -9, which should be worrisome for people staking Hawaii.

I am not completely sure what is accounting for the freefall. My guess would be that it represents West Coast money, including Hawaii fans, causing the line to precipitously drop in the last few weeks.

The rise in the line means that at least on Bodog, there is heavy betting on Georgia which looks like a value bet from possibly sharps.

In Las Vegas, most casinos are in the -9 to -9 1/2 range, with the exception of -8 at the Las Vegas Hilton, according to SBRlines. It's still -9 at huge online books Pinnacle and Bookmaker, so I imagine the Bodog correction has come from heavy Georgia betting.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out and who is right -- the fan money or the sharps?

It was great to meet you and hang out during feeding time.

I just wish I would have gotten in on that high card draw at Prime...
