A lucky shirt is a walk-off hit (Braves 10, Reds 9)

It's the same storyline over and over. The Braves are down six runs in the 9th inning and it looks like my alternate-McCann shirt will finally see a loss.

But ... no. After Braves rookie phenom Jason Heyward strikes out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th, you know that is not your only hope. There is another.

Brooks Conrad. Hits a walk-off grand slam to put the Braves on top, spoiling the Reds.

It puts my shirt to 7-0 and extends its winning streak to nearly a year in the making.

Caught the afternoon game at Turner Field today with Gnome. Thanks to Sham, my grilling skills are finely honed and we had some great brats and chicken wings to go with beeze before the game.

Alt-McCann record:

Sunday, May 24, 2009: Braves 10, Blue Jays 2
Sunday, June 7, 2009: Braves 8, Brewers 7
Sunday, June 28, 2009: Braves 2, Red Sox 1
Friday, Aug. 7, 2009: Braves 9, Dodgers 5, 12 innings (in Los Angeles)
Monday, April 5, 2010: Braves 11, Cubs 5
Sunday, April 18, 2010: Braves 4, Rockies 3
Thursday, May 20, 2010: Braves 10, Reds 9

What the hell is a Brooks Conrad? I follow baseball (National League, at least) fairly well and he's new to me.
